In professional life, stress is unavoidable factor in today's tension ridden world. It is a condition, which creates discomfort, tension, uneasiness and anxiety. Reason of stress can be various. For example, if anybody is threaten with the loss of his job, this will obviously keep him/her worried. Excessive load of work keeps a person under physical and mental pressure. It affects the productivity of organizations and efficiency of a person. But if stress is managed skillfully, it can lead to better performance, satisfaction and productivity. Some tips are given here to manage stress effectively.

•  Relaxation : It is a kind of mental exercise. A person facing stress should close his eyes, take deep breaths, empty his mind of other thoughts and remind himself that stress is purely temporally and it shall disappear soon.

•  Sharing with others : It is healthy to spell out anguish and anger to others. It is necessary to take if one feels heavy pressure in the office. Others can heal the wounds of the person under tress by making jokes and humorous works.

•  Heavy sleep : The primary function of sleep is to repair the wear and tear of the brain. Thus sleep is as important as oxygen.

•  Listening to music : Music often has a soothing effect on the exhausted mind. A sublime tune of a song may make a person forget for the time being about the harsh realities a person is facing, the realities that put him to anxiety and tension.

•  Time management : Procrastination is the thief of time. It is necessary to make sure to do that one needs to for oneself. It is useful to devote enough time to each activity. By managing time creatively, one can reduce stress effectively.
