Asim Tarafder is a visionary leader who has made significant contributions to the IT industry in Bangladesh. He is the CEO of T-Series Solutions, a pioneering web and software development firm in Bangladesh and the founder of bdtradeinfo.com, the largest business portal in the country. He is also a public speaker, motivational speaker, author, poet and a reciter. Tarafder is a winner of the 20th Bangladesh Business Excellence Award (2022) for his outstanding contributions to the IT industry. He is also a recipient of the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award (2019).
Tarafder was born in Manikganj, Bangladesh, in 1974. He completed his MBA in marketing from the International Islamic University Chittagong in 2000. He also took several short and long courses on computer operations, networking, graphics, website development and programming during 1997-2000. He obtained two international certifications, including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) in 2000.
Tarafder began his career in customer service at White House Hotel in 1995. He then joined the HR team of Sheltech, a leading real estate firm, in 1997, where he utilized his knowledge and experience to shape the company's core employee programs. At the same time, Asim efficiently played the role of Incharge, IT Division. In 2000, he established T-Series Solutions and on 5th February 2003 he launched the business portal bdtradeinfo.com.
Asim Tarafder is a Rotarian and has had several positions in Rotary International, including President of the Rotary Club of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar (2017-2018), Assistant Governor (2020-21) and Deputy Governor (2021-22) of District 3281. He is now the Deputy Learning Facilitator of Rotary District 3284. He is also a member of several social and cultural organizations.
Asim Tarafder is a frequent speaker at seminars, workshops, conferences and events on a variety of topics, including digital transformation, business, HR, communication, career development, soft skills development and entrepreneurship. Tarafder is one of the three authors of “HR Manual for IT Companies” specially for BASIS members. He is also a motivational speaker and has inspired many people to achieve their goals. He is an inspiration to many and is a role model for young entrepreneurs.
